Kalamazoo Conservation District is hosting a FREE all-day workshop presented by Urban Arbor Care on cultivating and caring for edibles in backyard landscaping. Topics presented indoors include proper planning, soil considerations, pest issues, selecting plants, organic management, and more! Outdoor demonstration and hands-on practice will cover pruning and tree care.

10:00-12:00 Indoor presentation

12:00-12:30 lunch break

12:30-3:00 Outdoor demonstration and hands-on practice


Please bring a lunch, dress for the weather, and bring your own tools. Before the event you will be emailed a list of suggested tools to bring.

This program is supported by the DNR, Urban and Community Forestry Program and

the USDA Forest Service, State and Private Forestry Program.
