The Kalamazoo Conservation District is seeking a District Manager to conduct the day-to-day business, supervise staff, provide customer assistance, prepare monthly budget reports, and maintain correspondence. Other essential duties include maintaining District financial accounts according to Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development guidelines, establishing annual budgets, conducting public presentations and meetings, identifying grant opportunities and preparing grant proposals, grant administration, and assisting with financial audits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, possess a strong attention to detail, and exhibit the ability to work as part of a team in support of several programs. This is currently a part-time position of 20 hours per week, with the potential to become a full time position if additional grants become awarded over time.
