Irrigation Uniformity Evaluations

The Kalamazoo Conservation District will be offering Irrigation System Uniformity Evaluations to agricultural producers this summer to promote groundwater stewardship, satisfy Irrigation GAAMPs (Generally Accepted Agricultural and Management Practices) and to promote MAEAP verification.  The goal of these irrigation evaluations is to determine the uniformity of a system and assure that it applies the same amount of water to all areas of the field.  Irrigation uniformity problems can result in damage to both the crops and the soil, lower yields, increase energy costs and have a significant economic impact at harvest time.

The Irrigation System Uniformity Evaluation Sign-up form can be downloaded in the link below. Please fill this out to let us know if you would like to move forward and approximately how many systems you would like evaluated. Please contact the Kalamazoo Conservation District at 269-775-3368 for more information or if you have any questions.
