Scrap Tire Recycling Collection Event!
Every Year the Kalamazoo Conservation District works to collect local grants, offering our community free scrap tire recycling services. Five years ago we discovered a great need within our county - a lack of recycling services, leading to many illegal dumping's across rural and urban townships. Now we collect over 5,000 tires annually to prevent these tires from entering our landscapes! We need volunteers willing to help our community unload tires from their cars and trailers, stacking them in our recycling trailer until FULL.
We are looking for volunteers to help check-in and verify residency, and unload tires from trucks/trailers to our large collection trailer.
