At the Kalamazoo Conservation District we offer a range of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, welcoming individuals of all interests and skill levels who are passionate about protecting soil and water quality.

Scrap Tire Recycling Events
Interested in helping residents upcycle their old tires? We need laborers and admin support for these events!

Photography
Love photography? Want a chance to have your work advertised in your community?

Tree Sale Fundraiser
Annual Tree Sale Fundraisers tree package and bundling, and day-of sale volunteers needed!

Field Work
Ad Hoc field work from wildlife habitat installations to water sampling and more.

Administrative Support
We are always looking for extra hands around the office from grant writing to basic office support!

Community Outreach
PR Marketing and Outreach from event promotion to tabling at a co-hosted event!
Join our Open Board Meeting and See What it's Like to be an Associate Board of Directors at KCD
The Board is desirous of recruiting persons with energy, enthusiasm and experience in regard to conservation matters, and specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and contacts which the Board needs to take the District program to the next level of effectiveness. A Director or Associate should be an advocate for the District. Among groups, organizations and individuals the Board is interested in Kalamazoo residents that can give back their expertise in conservation:
