United States Department of Agriculture - National Resource Conservation Services (USDA-NRCS)
The partnership between the KCD and USDA-NRCS allows us to provide natural resource and land-use management education, technical assistance and access to private land conservation funding to all Kalamazoo County Residents!

USDA-NRCS Programs & Services
Administered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) under the Farm Bill, the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) offers financial and technical assistance. We partner with landowners to plan and implement targeted conservation practices, such as brush management, that tackle pressing natural resource challenges. The result? Enhanced forest health, improved wildlife habitat, and protected soil, water, and air quality for sustainable operations.
The Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), a USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Farm Bill program, helps agricultural and forest landowners maintain, enhance, and expand existing conservation efforts. Participants receive financial and technical assistance to improve resource management, address specific natural resource concerns, and achieve their land stewardship goals.
Local Work Groups (LWG)
This service is offered yearly to allow Kalamazoo County Residents come, offer their voice in conserving our County. Help us prioritize local conservation concerns.
Next LWG, TBD!
