Interactive Water Stewardship Website Launched for Michigan Residents
An interactive website –www.MiWaterStewardship.org– aimed at Michigan residents encouraging them to take voluntary proactive steps to protect Michigan's water
quality.
In addition to the free online training courses, the website offers a section for students to become youth stewards using games, videos and
activities.
A section for educators with ready-made lesson plans, activities, demonstrations, videos, publications, presentations, and a list of other teaching resources for
enhancing environmental learning is also available through the website.
The interactive site features a virtual water cycle flow model showing residents the impacts of real life scenarios as a result of their every day actions on
Michigan’s water resources. Also, the local resource section provides a gateway to local environmental events and volunteer opportunities statewide.
