SOIL TESTING

Soil Nutrient Testing

Plants take up nutrients from the soil and over time the nutrients need to be replenished. The only way to identify which nutrients are needed is to get your soil tested.  The results will help you to determine how much and what kinds of fertilizer are needed for the plants you grow.

MSU Extension is again offering Home Lawn and Garden Soil Test Mailers and we have them in our office!

All materials and instructions are included in these mailers - no postage necessary. This kit includes everything  you need to send a soil sample from your lawn or garden for testing. You'll receive an electronic resonse with personalized fertilizer recommendations from Michigan State University that will you help you grow beuatiful, healthy plants and protect the environment.

The mailers are $26 each. Call the office for more information.
