Scrap Tire Collection Events

The Kalamazoo Conservation District  once again provided scrap tire collections events at no cost to Kalamazoo County residents. The tires that were collected will be recycled and used in roads, driveways, trails, and a variety of other products.

A total of 3,261 tires were collected in Kalamazoo County! Approximately 244 households participated in 20 Kalamazoo County zip codes.

Funding for the Scrap Tire Collection Events is provided by the EGLE Scrap Tire Grant and the Kalamazoo Conservation District. Partners include the City of Kalamazoo, Schoolcraft Township, and Perkins Tire Service.

If you are interested in volunteering for future events, please give the office a call at 269-775-3368. We plan to offer tire recycling events in 2024 and could use help unloading and loading tires in the semi trailers.
