Interactive Water Stewardship Website Launched for Michigan Residents

An  interactive website – www.MiWaterStewardship.org – aimed at Michigan residents encouraging them to take voluntary proactive steps to protect Michigan's water quality.

In addition to the free online training courses, the website offers a section for students to become youth stewards using games, videos and activities.

A section for educators with ready-made lesson plans, activities, demonstrations, videos, publications, presentations, and a list of other teaching resources for enhancing environmental learning is also available through the website.

The interactive site features a virtual water cycle flow model showing residents the impacts of real life scenarios as a result of their every day actions on Michigan’s water resources. Also, the local resource section provides a gateway to local environmental events and volunteer opportunities statewide.
